Looking good, but the PSU, it's over priced. BFG PSU's are'n that solid. For the same wattage, and a little cheaper you can get an Antec Truepower 2 for ~$90, and Antec's are far more solid and better built PSU's.

Your CPU, definitely shoot for an Opteron 144 or 146 and OC the **** out of it to 2.4ghz and beyound!

If you really want to stick with the Athlon 64 series, go with the 3200+ (which you can OC to 3500+ speeds and save $35), or go with the 3700+ (which you can OC to 4000+ speeds and pay $35 more).

Any of those choice are good.

Your case isn't of the best case building brands, but if that's what you want then stick with it. I personally would go with Thermaltake for cases.

Your HD is fine, but I tend to like Seagate more. I havn't heard the best things about the Caviar series.

hmmm well i should have put that i dont plan on overclocking anything on this rig. so if no overclocking then i should stick with all of this right. and i am sticking with the BFG because its what i have now and i love it and have not had any problems.

looks good from what I see change the hard drive though 2 meg cache on a hard drive is at the point of being obsolete . standard is 8 meg cache now and 16 meg cache harddrives are out too.

that hard drive's not sata you might want to get an sata hard drive i believe they're faster than regular IDE drives other than that and the power supply thing it looks awsome man

Alright if you like that PSU and it's been good to you sure get another, your choice.

If you don't plan on OCing go with the 3700+ anyway for the larger L2 cache.

If your not OCing anything else (which nearly everyone ends up wanting to do, but again your choice), then stick with value memory.

alright well i ordered it all and didnt change anything except the hardrive which i switched to a 8 meg. cache. i kept the BFG psu but will probably get another once i get a new dx10 card or something. and as far as overclocking, i dont plan on OCing anything on this rig, as i have another rig which i have OCed. this is just a rig i decided to build for fun and have some new fresh parts. thanks guys

Dang .. that beats my 6-month-old $800 rig by quite a bit. I paid the same price as your GS for my 6800 vanilla! *sigh* Times have changed .. if only s478 motherboards had pci-e ..
