Default Good 6800XT?

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...s&promoid=1043

Check this out, 256mb DDR3 with a 256-bit memory interface. Wouldn't that be good even though its a 6800XT?

I'm not sure, but the 6800XT usually only has 8 pipes, which TOTALLY cripples it's performance. Just get a 6800GS.

Yea but isn't it using the 6800 series cores and stuff? I think it also has more vertex engines or something than the 6600GT.

The 6800XT is a tad better than the 6600GT, but its totally not worth the price you pay. If you are a hardcore first person shooter gamer, you need at least a 6800gs minimum. If gaming isn't your thing, get yourself an X1300 or something.

Yeah I just built a PC for my folks with an X1300Pro, I got a great deal on it, $79 shipped for a refurbished one. It runs UT2004 just fine on max settings at 1024x768. When I say "fine", I mean 70+ fps.
