Default Going from x1600 to 8800GT SC

Just got the EVGA 8800GT SUPERCLOCKED 512mb to take place of my x1600pro 512mb. The FPS has doubled almost for Day of Defeat Source. It seems a little skippy, not super smooth even with the FPS above 40 at all times. It seems i should be getting more FPS with this upgrade... Is my CPU bottlenecking it? i have the amd64bit 3200+ (2.09ghz) 2gb ram too.

Oh yes that is quite a large bottleneck you have going there....your putting in a very powerful card with a now outdated single core CPU at only 2.09ghz.

if you really want to get the money out of that card and give you FPS that will be very good for just about any game you will need to through in another 250-300. That will give you a motherboard and very fast Cpu combo that can be very highly overclocked and some new DDr2 ram.
