Its going to be used for gaming so I'm going to try and overclock it as far as I can. I dont have a soundcard because all I use are cheapy headphones... The only thing I've yet to pick are the 80mm case fans. For that I was thinking of getting 3 medium speed Panaflo's. Thanks for looking.

All looks fine. Im gettin the X2 3800+ when i get my parts, but im yet to see any benchmarks for it on games. I will also be OC mine.

awesome build, someone did their research finally.

i feel someone is going to yell about the hdd
i would go with seagate or WD

I've been researching this for almost a year. People have already yelled about getting a Maxtor, but I think im going to stick with it because you cant beat the price and I've heard its the faster 7200RPM drive. In my original build I was going to get 2 pairs of 512MB RAM in dual channel but I decided to get 2 sticks of 1GB RAM.

tell me if the maxtor is good or not, so i can recommend it or not to people . but i like my seagate :D

Depends on what you need the system for. I would NEVER pass up 1 extra gig of ram for a better video card. But hey, that's me.

Good build though. I overclocked my X2 3800+ to 2.4 Ghz with no temp gain (except a few degrees on full load, but it's still low)

If you can manage to get the 2x1GB kit of that ram rather than buying one gig now and one later you will save a bit of money (like $30). Other than that looks great. I'm getting the same memory BTW.
