Smile Gigabyte p35 and 4870 card

I have a Gigabyte EP-p35-ds4 with a q6600, corsair 800 and Antec truepower 850 i just put on for the upgrade(given to me). Want to upgrade my 8800gt to the 4870. I would like to know if I should upgrade my board to a p45 or wait. Will be upgrading my q6600 next year or sooner. I want to game really bad on my Pioneer elite which is not worth playing on with the 8800gt.

Should never have bought Samsung 2253bw which is a great screen at 1060. What a fool I am for not buying a 24 inch.

Maybe I should just build for the Pioneer, oh money.........thats right. Hate wasting it for no reason.
Thanks all

you can't really damage a q6600 and the p35 is a great chipset to clock the Q6600.

You should do 3-3.2ghz at least...hopefully more with a decent cooler
