Default Gigabyte DS3R - GIGABYTE GA-EP35C-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Dynamic Energy Saver Ultra Durable II Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Is this a new version of the DS3R?? I am thinking about upgrading to Intel and I see that this board has the option of using DDR2 or DDR3 RAM. Which, IMO, is genius. But my question is, will DDR3 become affordable before this mobo will need to be upgraded?

Its a possibility. Another great gigabyte board to look into is their new DS4.
