Ghosting

Hey I know this question may sound a bit noobish, but what is ghosting on a monitor?

Ghosting is a term used in respect to LCD monitors. When an LCD monitor has a slow response time, and you play games, ghosting will occur, usually in games.

If you were playing a FPS and a dude ran across your screen, it would look like he has a ghost following him, because your monitor wasnt able to clear those pixels fast enough to what they actually should be looking like.

if you've ever played doom on a really old laptop you'll know what ghosting is ... but rarely do i see ghosting on new LCDs
