Default Re: Getting a new computer

make sure the 500gb are seagate 7200.11
RAID 0 them will be very fast

for the RAM change it to DDR2 800 Crucial ballistix, they tend to perform better
coolermaster for psu isn't really recommended at this forum as they're toward the low-end market, we recommend this one - PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 EPS12V EPS12V 610W Continuous @ 40°C Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, cUL, CE, CB, TUV - Retail

Aprevia cases aren't the best for airflow, pick one of these beasts for high airflow - COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
this one can hold up to 8 fans, add as you need - Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail - Antec Performance One P180 Silver cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail - NZXT Zero Black/Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Retail
^^ i have this one its awesome, super silent with 7 fans

also you shouldn't go SLI unless your doing high resolution gaming, instead go with this combo - ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail - XFX PVT88GYDF4 GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
Proc Intel 2500k
Video XFX 6950 1Gb
Display 22'' Monitor Chemei 5ms RT, 800:1 CR
Mobo Biostar Z68A+
Mem 4 gb PNY DDR3 1600
Case afk
Sound Logitech z-5300e 5.1 + Razer Orca's + Creative Soundblaster Audigy SE
PSU Corsair 520hx
OS Windows 7 64-bit
Cooling Corsair H60 Liquid Cooling
HDD Hitachi 1Tb
