Default GeForce 8800GTS 320MB will hit the stores in February 12

Quote:
A couple of weeks ago, the folks at VR-Zone broke news of a purported GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card with 320MB of memory and a lower price tag than the current model. The site now says Nvidia's partners are ready to ship out so-called GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB cards and that we should see the cards hit stores on February 12. According to previous reports, the card will have the same 96 stream processors, 500MHz core clock speed, and 800MHz memory speed as the current model. However, its price will be shaved down to a cool $299, placing it within the same price range as some of Nvidia's GeForce 7950 GT cards. VR-Zone says some manufacturers will offer overclocked versions of the 8800 GTS 320MB, though, which may spill over the $300 mark.

$300, that's so sweet!

Can't wait to see the benchmarks. I think it'll have roughly the same performance as the normal 8800GTS.
