Default GDDR5 already!!?!?!?

Very nice. Wonder what kind of frequencies they will hit.

GDDR4 hasn't even matured yet and some people are hitting 2600+mhz on their 3870s

^^ Well, Idk.. GDDR5 , since its at a lover voltage means higher ocs with less voltage correct?

Me neither. But this is old news, I saw a story on daily tech about it around a month ago. When graphics card makers actually implement this technology, then it will be time to start spending full paychecks again lol.

according to engadget, GDDR5 is 3x faster then GDDR3, transfering 6Gbps. GDDR4 transfers 4Gbps.

I wonder what this means for 128bit memory interface budget cards......with transfer rates like those the effective bandwidth shouldn't be an issue like it is with current GDDR3 and GDDR2 128bit memory cards
