Okay here goes. I got about $1,600 +/- $100 to spend and was thinking of switching to ATI since clearly the GTX 300 is not coming out any time soon for BF:BC2.
First, I'll just go over the iffy items... I don't really want to get the eVGA mobo since it won't allow for crossfire so the only logical choices appear to be Asus or Gigabyte:

I don't think that's going to be a big issue... just needs to fit the massive video cards within which both are confirmed to be able to do....

I need the most help with the power supply.... in the 1kW range there are not many options and I want it to be able to feed two 5970s down the road.
Memory, I'm 100% sure I'm going to get Corsair. The question is, pay an extra 50 bucks for 7-7-7-20 or stay with 8-8-8-24 timing memory:

Anywho, other than that I am going with thee intel i-7 920, got a 1366 clip accessory to use my zalman cps9500A cooler for overclocking, got a good soundcard and the x-fi creative headphones, and two 1TB seagate barracudas... not really sure I'm going to change that up!
So, that's what I'm thinking and know I have to wait 1 month+ for this to work with the 5970s out of stock.
The main goal of this PC will be to play bad company 2 flawless at 1920x1200 and hopefully last a good few years.... which probably will mean a vid card upgrade as always .... yay
