The FX CPU is better for gaming, but only in benchmarks. The X2 is a better buy, as it will perform really well for games, and it will also allow for heavy multitasking

A dual core CPU will be the best because, whether a game supports the second core or not it still will run the speed of the first core so by buying a dual core as someone else said it will be future proofed, also its the latest tech so why not? I would buy it.

because you can run a game on one core and run like itunes on the other. i do that a lot, i'll be running at least 5 apps at once durring a game. AIM, Ventrilo, Itunes, Firefox. ect.
