I have a collection of pc games that start from like 1997 and run thru until now....about 3 large rubbermaid tubs full of pc games...I hate to say how many....hundreds and hundreds.....he will be playing my software....so by the time he gets to crysis....an 8800 will be cheap....and obsolete.

To me that would be like buying a PS3 to play ps1 and ps2 games but if thats what he is going to do then that system should be plenty.
2 games I'm playing right now are Star Wars Rebellion (1997) and Command and Conquer Renegade (2002). But I'm also playing Crysis demo (2007 and brings my system to its knees). So I can see what your saying.
