Default Gaming laptop question

What's the cheapest I could by a gaming laptop for? I'd like it to play recent games, and it only has to run them on medium settings. Maybe medium high if possible. It's gonna be for my girlfriend. thank to in advance.

Depends on if you want new, used, or refurbished.

I bought my G73 (i7 740qm, 6GB RAM, Mobility 5870) for $780 from Newegg last October.

I also found a used MSI GT780DX (i7 2670qm, 12GB RAM, GTX 570m) for $780 just last week that I'm picking up.

So really, it depends on if you don't mind a used laptop and where you look.

Medium or medium high? Going to be a minimum of 1000 unless you can find something with a GTX660m, GTX580m, or some high end SLI combo used.

I don't mind it being used or refurbished. And I'm looking at about 800 no matter what than?

Seriously depends on your area (for used) on CL and how they priced their used hardware. You could get a good deal on a good laptop like Carnage, but finding a price like that for a laptop like that is a good find.

The cheapest out of stock refurbished laptop with a 660m is 929 on Newegg. Searching used on CL in your area look for GPUs like that 660m, or 580m, and that general area.
