Question Gaming internet speeds..

Right now I am running at an
Average Download: 2697 kb/s
Average Upload: 395 kb/s

This is with the basic high speed (5 mbps)that Shaw offers.
As a gamer would it be a good idea for me to upgrade to the Xtreme speed (10 mbps) or would I not see any change in the smoothness of my online gaming?

*I hope this is in the right section

thats more than adequate.
you wont see any change, most likely. i game on a connection that is 1850kb/s down
and 895 kb/s up.
i have no lag if the server has a low ping when i join.
of course, if you join a server in the netherlands and you are in the us, you will have a high ping.

40kb/s down and 13kb/s upload for me, awesome Fisher Price modem and Dell laptop.

Until I finish my build, on Tuesday, then I'm going 10mb/s down and 5mb/s upload :3

It just may. I'm trying not to get used to this, I'll cry myself to sleep if I so much as get a moment of lag while minimizing huge programs.

yeah you just need to worry about ping rates.

the only thing uping your download speed would help is of course your downloads.
