Hey, does anyone know the difference between the two different AMD Athlon 64 3200+ models?

wow, those processors look exactly the same. i have no idea what the difference is.

for the video i haven't heard too many good things about xfx, and i have an EVGA and am very happy with it. but i'm sure that xfx is a good brand.

I'm either going to buy the
Athlon 64 3200+ Venice w/ the 6800GS
or
Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego w/ the 6600GT

I can NOT afford both the 6800GS and the 3700+.

Any help would be appreciated.

You know the funny thing is, I just looked @ your post earlier today. Thanks for the info.

What is your opinion on my predicament?

3700 San Diego w/ 6600gt
or
3200 Venice w/ 6800GS

Oh, definately 3200+ with 6800GS. The 3200+ Venice overclocks decently (You could get a Opteron 144 or 146 if you want higher overclockability) and the 6800GS would be a much better upgrade than the 3700+.

Well, I just purchased my MSI K8N Neo4-F motherboard & AMD Athlon 64 3200+ from newegg.com

I then purchased the EVGA GeForce 6800 GS from zipzoomfly.com

I'm waiting anxiously for the UPS truck...

All I have left to get is the DVD-ROM, monitor, and operating system....
