Is yours an LCD, I thought they only made 18.1" CRTs. But anyway go with a 17" with a response time 12ms or lower, 8ms (or below) perferably.

But I would rather go with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001068

My brother nabed one, works wonderful.

I was surprised too when I found out that it was an 18.1" LCD, it's the only one I've ever come across. It came with the Dell OptiPlex GX270 that the family got a few years back.

Anyone else have suggestions?

Also, will the cooling be sufficient for the components above? I've heard that ATi cards can get pretty hot. Does the stock VGA cooler keep it cool enough?

I heard the X1900 XT is very cool, but I hear that the heatsink is pretty loud, but if your like me and have nice headphones it shouldn't be a big problem. Yes nForce 4 chips will work fine with ATI cards.

Thanks. The P180 should help dampen some of the noise from the fan, and I'm sure my speakers will cover up the rest of the noise.

Here is a cheaper X-Fi from zipzoomfly http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=290236

Zipzoomfly gives free 2nd day shipping and is very secure as many people will tell you. Or there is a cheaper one over at monarchcomputer.com which also is very respectable but you'll have to pay shipping.

Well I'm happy with the last build I posted. Does anyone have any objections?
