SHORT STORY... ga m55sli s4 and ddr2 not working? Raise ddr2voltage by .1
LONG STORY
Ive seen a few people post about how there ga m55sli s4 MOBO and theyre ddr2 memory systems wont work and it acts like things are currupt and junk... well i had the SAME issue on my new computer and it was driving me to drinking!!!!!!
i spent all this time on the phone with gigabyte.. they were telling me some crazy ****!
the one guy said it was a timing issue and to put my timings at 4448... from 55515... in my head i was thinking... "WHAT THE **** is this guy thinking" and i figured it would explode, not literally.
Then they said to take a stick out which i did and it seemed to work but that meant i spent 200 dollars on 1 gig of ram... so i still wasnt happy and i still sometimes got errors.
So i just figured like id try anything and so i raised the ddr2 voltage by .1 and vooala! I havnt had a single problem since.
Ive told some others with this issue and it has solved there problems too. Sorry for all the extra ******** Its very very late.
