Well at least now there are cheaper DX10 cards that can finally equal the high-end DX9 series of cards. The gap between 8600GTS and 8800GTS is just far too large.

Why do you like ATI so much? I was under the impression games tend to run better with Nvidia cards. And I thought ATI still had driver issues.

I'm reffering to of course the HD series from ATI and the 8800series from Nvidia.

ATI was better in the 9800 vs 5900 cards
Nvidia was better in the 6800 vs x800 cards
ATI was better in the 1900 vs 7800 cards
Nvidia seems better in the 8800 vs 2900 cards

just go with whichever one is better at the time, and stop acting like little ******* my friend...

avoding the swear filter (that is a vulgar word you can't use right?) will get you banned/infracted/w/e

anyways, why do you always stress some random point?

the keyword you put in there is seems... the war isn't over yet for this era, the cheaper 2900's seem to be getting better and better bang for buck while Nvidia just has its 8800's which are the only decent dx10 cards in their lineup, maybe the 8600 GT/S

No, it won't perform as good as the 8800GTS. Higher memory for video cards help when you're running at higher resolutions. Say you're running at 1280x1024. You're really not going to see a performance different between an 8800GTS with 640MB over the 320MB.

The new 8800GT is going to have performance between the 8600GT and the 8800GTS.

correction, 8600GTS and 8800GTS

I agree with your statement about the video cards, Although I don't believe the 1900s from ATI were out right when the 7800, i could be wrong. I thought they came later.

But I don't agree with you coming off like an ******* and calling peoples a name for no reason at all. I mean your last statement didnt even have anything to do with the conversation the rest of us were having?

im planning on getting the 2900 Pro instead of the 8800GTS. Dont forget guys, this 8800GT is PCI-E 2.0, which has double the 2.5 GT/s to 5 GT/s. This should give it competition against the 2900 Pro n GT, or maybe even the 2900 XT.

of course u need a PCI-E 2.0 mobo first.
