Default The flavors........

So, what's the deal with so many different types of 7900gtx? I've seen several 'different' cards of the same make. The only difference being core/memory speeds. Couldnt you just buy a evga 7900gtx EGS and overclock it to 'extreme' speeds? Seems like they want $100 for 40-45 more points in the core speed.

Are the 'pre overclocked' cards better for some reason I don't know of?

Nobody WANTS to asnwer it.

Yea, its kind of pointless to go with higher clocked versions. But they come with a warranty. Although, some of the overclocked ones are VERY overclocked.

Oh, was it a stupid question on my part? Or, did I tread some shallow water or something? LOL

I just seriously didnt see the sense in spending extra money on a card that's overclocked when it can be done for free. Unless, are the pre overclocked cards more 'stable'?
