The Dell 2405 actually has gotten very good reviews and Dell has been known to make good monitors. Why does everyone jump on the hating Dell bandwagon immediately.

I feel like a stranger in this Dell-Acer-BenQ War. The way I see it, for 20" monitors, there's the BenQ, the Viewsonic, and the Samsung, all with about ~$20-30 in between them, in that order of price. I don't really trust BenQ, so I'll just go with the Viewsonic. Samsung has the whole screen-twist thing down, so maybe them, but I'll have to see. But the Viewsonic and the Samsung have about the same specs, I think.

For Dell, you pay for the name. I'm looking at an 18" Dell monitor right here; haven't had any problems, but I'm sure I could get the same quality for less.
