I want to make a very good gaming PC and that is good at multi-tasking, because i like to use a lot of programs at once. I think these parts will work very good together for what i want to build.

The one thing I am not sure of, is that the motherboard supports 1000 FSB. I have read that it does on some pages but I am not certain.

This is the motherboard that i want to use
MSI K8T Master2-FAR7

I think i will only get one cpu to start with, because it cost so much and is dual core.
Dual-core Opteron

There is 2 cases that i am considering the first one I don't know if it will work with the cooling system because it doesn't support 120mm rear fan.
Xoxide X-Static 2

The second case has room for a 120mm fan, but it cost a bit more than the first one i want to get.
Xoxide tank

this psu should substain my power needs, but i am not sure about the brand.
Powork 680 watt

I have never messed around with water cooling before, but i have read some good reviews for this one and it is cheap.
Thermaltake BigWater 745

I already have a 160 gig hard drive and I think i have some memory already that will work with the board.

I am planning on using Windows Pro 64 bit as my operating system.

I dont think you will need two cpu's just get a athlon x2 4200 or somethin. they are really good multi taskers.

Also you will need a video card.

I would go with a case with a little more quality to it. that one seems a bit cheasy.

try consoloidating everything you buy to one site. shipping will be a lot cheaper.

go with a socket AM2 mobo that supports a athlon x2

I would like a dual socket mobo, because than i would be able to run 4 cores if i buy a socond cpu.

I want to find a board that has dual socket setup and pci express x16.

I will want to do some overclocking also to the pc that i build.

If you want to be able to run 4 cores, build a Conroe system, so when Kentsfield comes out, get one of them. That will blow away a dual-dual-core Opteron setup.

Like I said, you are crazy if you think another processor will help you with gaming, especially with an AGP video card that could be PCI-E if you decided to build a reasonable system.

Here, why not just get this quad Opteron, quad PCI-E motherboard (Tyan 4880 Quad AMD Opteron™ motherboard)

Get this and maybe 32gb of ram, and an x1300 and you're good to go for gaming.

hahahahahhaahah :)

oh how i love it when uninformed people try to make statements like "i want 4 cores with an agp card so i can game"

Ok, laugh massacreinfallx i didn't know what i was talking about.
But i said pci express x16 not agp

I guess i will go with a good dual-core processor and a pci express x16 board.

Tell me if you have any good suggestions.

dont take it the wrong way,i wasnt trying to be an *******.

but yeah just go with one dual core processor. either the intel core 2 duo or a cheaper amd athlon x2. and a nice pci express 16 graphics card also. thatwould give you best gaming perfomance

Ok i redid my whole list of parts for my new pc.

I need help picking out a video card because i have no knowledge at all about cards.

I think these parts should work really good together. I don't know for sure if i need water cooling for sure, but it would help out a lot if i over clock my cpu. I already got my dvd-rw rom in my old pc that i will use. I would also use XP Pro 64 bit
