First lcd question

So I bought my first LCD finally. ViewSonic's VX922. I don't notice any ghosting at all and aside from my question, it's an awesome monitor. I'm sitting right in front of it and even still, the left and right sides of my monitor have a nasty looking yellow tint. Some other people have noticed this and I'm not sure if it's just the way it is with LCD's, or if I should send this one back and get a new one? Most of the reviews don't mention this so I am led to believe it is just mine and a few others. It's quite annoying at any rate Is this normal?

No, you shouldn't have any tints on a properly working monitor. Try autoadjusting and maybe messing with some color settings. There should be a selection to return settings to the factory default as well. If these don't solve the problem I suggest you exchange the monitor.

a yellow tint on the sides of your lcd monitor is not normal. make sure the color settings are correct and if they are, return the monitor and try another one.
