Ok, i've been looking up parts for my new gaming rig. I've come to some conclusions on which parts i think would be best for future proofing and providing me great components for now. So far these are the parts i've chosen.

Motherboard and CPU combo: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Motherboard w/ Intel Core i7 920 Processor BX80601920 Bundle ($590 USD)

HDD: Using my stock 320GB from my old computer.(7200 rpm, etc)

GPU: Keeping my EVGA 9800 GT until i get some more money.

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-1000HX 1000-Watt Power Supply - ATX, 140mm Fan, SATA-Ready, SLI Ready ($220 USD)

Memory/RAM: I cant think of which DDR3 tri-channel memory to buy. Could someone please recommend or suggest a set from past review or experiences. As of right now im thinking of
OCZ Gold Tri Channel 6GB PC16000 DDR3 2000MHz Memory - 3x2048MB at TigerDirect.com

Thanks for reading my future configuration. Please provide feedback on items that you would suggest to buy otherwise if there is something bad that i stated.

I like your build but if you wanted you could save some cash.

mb and cpu combo: $504
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

the ram is not a bad deal but you could get this for $99 with $10mir:
Newegg.com - OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK - Desktop Memory
Would be plenty fast enough.

psu is overkill look at this: $120 with $20mir
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies

That would save you $196 with $30 in mir which is enough for a gtx260 or ati 4870. close to a 4890

Looks good, and like Hefe suggested, I would go with a less expensive PSU, because that is overkill. Use the money saved on the PSU to get a better GPU.
