First build gaming rig NEED HELP!!!

Hi everyone,
it's my first time on this type of forum so I would like some guidance on what to do aswell as what to buy. I'm looking for a good powerful computer capable of holding top performance WoW. I'm thinking of buying an I7 CPU quad core but if there are better options please tell me. I was also wondering what are some good australian websites for some components?

I'm thinking of buying Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Motherboard. It has Socket 1366, 6xDIMM DDR3, 4xPCIe-16, 1xPCI, 2xPCIe-1, 10xUSB2, Firewire, Audio, 1xATA, 12xSATA, RAID, ATX. Is that a good buy?
