Default First build any suggestions?

So this is gunna be my first build and i pretty much want it for gaming, photoshop, music, video editing ect. As this is my first build suggestions are welcome and wanted.

Heres what i have so far.

Case- undecided was leaning towards the Antec 900 but i heard cable management is bad. So i want something that wont cost a arm or leg, has the side window and has good looks.

Processor- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 184.99

$5 more for a faster drive with another 140gb of space

and get this RAM..cost a little more..but it has a lot better timings

as far as case goes

Looks fine... as for a case, Check out the Antec 300.. cheap and its nice... also Coolermaster Elite 330, Coolermaster 690

I don't know anything about motherboard other than the ep35-ds3p but.....

I don't know who I heard it from, But the DFI motherboards suck.

I believe it was luke, a very techie guy.

dfi mobo r sick, biostar are good and gigabyte. get the ds3r p45. why not spend a bit more and get the 4870 instead of the 4850 since u got quad and everything else is great.

if i had the money i gladly would put out the extra money for a 4870 but im on a tight budget so unless i can find a great deal on the 4870 i think im gonna stick to the 4850.


Although i could go a lil cheaper on the monitor adn get this one link so id have a lil extra to get the 4870

Another question since ill be doing mostly gaming on this computer should i go with the E8400 instead of the Q6600? i will be doing school work photoshop and video editing on it but id say 80% of the time will be gaming.
