Default First build. Any noticeable problems?

I am about to click the order button but I want to make sure all my parts will work together. Please help!

- AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 6 Core Processor 2.8GHZ Socket AM3

- Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 AMD770 ATX AM3 DDR3 1PCI-E 4PCI RAID HD Sound GBLAN SATA3 USB3.0 Mobo

- Coolit Systems Eco CPU Water Cooling System AUTO-REGULATED & Maintenance Free LGA1366

- Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 4GB DDR2 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 5-5-5-18 240PIN Memory Kit (x2)

- Gigabyte Radeon Ud HD 5770 850MHZ 1GB 4.8GHZ GDDR5 Video Card

- Coolermaster Silent Pro 700W Modular Power Supply SLI ATX12V 24PIN Active PFC 2X8PIN PCI-E 135mm Fan

- Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA2 3.5IN 8.5MS 7200RPM 32MB Hard Drive OEM

I'm pretty certain I have a decent understanding of what I'm doing but I'm not quite confident in my choice of motherboard.

Thanks!!

yeaa, that board would support the 1055t, but only with the latest bios.

but there's really no way to tell if it will come with latest bios or not, unless you have it avialable to see for yourself.

where are you buying your parts from? there are boards out that already have support for the x6s from the first bios, so we can see if they have any.

I dont think the DDR2 Corsair ram will run on that AM3 board, which is DDR3 only board. Other then that, everything else seems fine.

The parts are from ncix.com

Thanks for pointing out the RAM issue. That was rather ignorant of me

Edit: I've made the following changes:

- ASUS M4A89GTD Pro AM3 DDR3 AMD 890GX ATX 2PCI-E16 PCI-E1 PCI-E4 2PCI VGA DVI Motherboard

- Kingston Kingston 4GB 1600MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC CL8 DIMM (Kit of 2) XMP T1 Series

Make better sense?

I'd go for the AMD six core system you're futureproofing it alot more and It's not that much more expensive.

i would get a high-end air cooler instead. like this one,
NCIX.com - Buy Coolermaster V8 CPU Heatsink Cooler LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM3 120MM Fan 800-1800RPM 17-21 dbA - RR-UV8-XBU1-GP In Canada.
it's cheaper and will cool slightly better than the coolit eco.

this mobo will work, it supports the 1055t from the first bios version so you wouldn't have to worry about incompatibility.
NCIX.com - Buy Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H 890GX AM3 ATX DDR3 2PCI-E 2PCI SATA3 USB3.0 HDMI GBLAN CrossFireX Motherboard - GA-890GPA-UD3H In Canada.

this ram. same speed as the kingston, but cheaper with better timings.
NCIX.com - Buy G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM Ripjaws 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL7-8-7-24 240PIN Dual Channel i5 Memory Kit - F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM In Canada.
but what do you want/need 8gigs of ram for?

and for the same price as the gigabyte, get the xfx 5770,
NCIX.com - Buy XFX Radeon HD 5770 850MHZ 1GB 4.8GHZ GDDR5 2XDVI HDMI Display Port DIRECTX11 PCI-E Video Card - HD577XZNFC In Canada.
you'd get a double lifetime warranty from xfx.
