Default first build 4 gaming, any thoughts?

hi all. this is my first build and it will be used mainly for gaming and the usual (browsing the net, movies, music, ect.)
my budget i around 400, i already have: hard drive, moniter, dvd writer, keyboard and mouse.
i have done alot of research and finally decided on the parts. this is a budget gaming build, i will be gaming on a 19" 720p screen and dont mind lowering the settings. i dont need overlclocking, SLI/Crossfire, usb3.0.

here it is:

intel i5 2400(151):http://www.ebuyer.com/251595-intel-c...-bx80623i52400
asus h61 mobo(53):http://www.ebuyer.com/261406-asus-p8...8h61-m-le-r3-0
2x2GB GSkill(28):http://www.ebuyer.com/264746-g-skill...0666cl8d-4gbrm
xigmatek white knight case(30):http://www.ebuyer.com/274410-xigmate...-cpc-t55dw-u01
Thermaltake 575W Modular PSU(55): http://www.ebuyer.com/234911-thermal...r-psu-tpx-575m
EVGA GTX 460 1GB(133.5): http://www.dabs.com/products/evga-ge...i-sc-7K93.html

i know there are better deals for the gtx460 but i went for the evga for the 10yr warranty, plus the rest werent that much cheaper.
also there were cheaper psu offers but i went for the 5yr warranty.

as for the ram i was told to get 1600MHz but the specs of the mobo says it only supports 1066/1333MHz, and i was told that its ok to get 1600MHz on a 1333MHz board, is this true?

so what do u think? will this build be ok for the next 3-4 yrs gaming at medium settings? is it overpriced?

Yha it's not too bad. I'm not super with ram, but on a budget the chosen ram looks fine.

no issues with the 460 and the mobo.
The psu's not too bad, I recommend the antecs: Antec TruePower New 550W Modular PSU | Ebuyer.com as they are solid and efficient.

I"D ALWAYS RECOMMEND A QUAD over a dual, but whats your budget say? If you can afford a i5, you'll be better set for the future.

But it will run pretty good

ok iam thinking of changing the the cpu to the i5-2400 (150) and the ram to one of the following:
G-Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333Mhz Ripjaws Memory Kit.. | Ebuyer.com
Crucial 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz Ballistix Sport.. | Ebuyer.com

the antec u linked has multiple 12V rails (whether tru splitting or not, not the issue), i was told to stick with single 12V rail. many recommended antec though, is there something wrong with the thermaltake i chose? thanks

Well, theyre different psu setups... Here's the newegg comparisions of the 2, i hope.
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

The thermotake has alot more featues, but if you go down to the output. You'll see where the Antec becomes the better psu, bwell besides the inside quality. The Antec has 3 rails at 22/22/25 for about 60 real Amps.
The Thermaltake has 1 rail at 48A. So 25 more watts but 10+ less Amps.

Amps are just as important as Watts.

I honestly can't see you being able to use a 4 pci-e cables with the specs. So I'd get the better Amps over the features.

Not everyone needs the 2500k. The only advantage of the 2500 is the K which will allow you to properly overclock.
