Well I usually don't upgrade often so I like to get the stuff that'll get me by for a couple years without worry

Hmm why not forget the GTX 280 and go for a 4870x2 if you don't plan upgrade for awhile the 4870x2 is a beast.

Hmm good idea, just looked up some info on those cards. I've always gone with nvidia graphics cards but I think I'll switch it up now heh.

Yea i used to be an nVidia fan also but the 4870 i got is just much better then the GTX 260 and its cheaper bang for your buck. And the 4870x2 is a best only about 100 more then the GTX 280 and much more powerful.

Is the PSU I have selected going to be enough for that card + everything else? And is there anything I should do for cooling? I imagine that card alone throws some mad heat..

by the way I'm not planning on any crossfire or SLI

Yeah, you're probably gonna want some aftermarket coolers for your CPU and graphics card. Personally I'm a fan of the Thermalright Ultra-120, but I'll let other people make the recommendations. I'm not exactly up to date on this stuff either.

Xigmatek makes good hsf's, and there is a new one from Sunbeam I think that's supposed to be really good to.
