Long story short, my Creative Labs XtremeGamer X-Fi sound cawrd caused the majority of my problems in my PC. It's like new. I need to find a replacement card that isnt too overly expensive n overkill but can truly satisfy my needs, which are listening to high quality MP3 music, video games, n movies. I found this one card for interest:

ASUS Xonar DX 7.1 Channels PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card
Newegg.com - ASUS Xonar DX 7.1 Channels PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card

I was just looking into HT-Omega n they sound good, according to the feedback. However, their prices r expensive! Is HT-Omega worth it? If so, how about this card?:

HT | OMEGA CLARO 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
Newegg.com - HT | OMEGA CLARO 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

i worry about the limited warranty on the HT Omega cards vs. ASUS. ASUS is 3 yrs vs. 1 yr. What do u guys think or suggest for me to look into?

How about this one: Newegg.com - Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD 24-bit 96KHz USB Interface Sound Card it is USB so you can easily switch it from one Computer to another and it won't take up a precious PCI Slot plus it's less than $100. It is "X-Fi HD" and note the pro-quality 1/4" Jacks. The external Soundcard will not have as much noise as an internal one.

^^I cant take Creative Labs anymore. They do make great products i agree but their support and software just sucks. ASUS looks like my best bet.

should i go higher on ASUS sound card products or stick with this one? Or does it matter on the long run?
