it better to have one, but for 3.6 no, you wont even have to raise the voltage to get 3.6ghz on a e8400.

my recommendations
1. ditch the x48 unless u are doing crossfire, ur better of getttin a biostar I45 p45 mobo and using the extra cash to buy a 4870.
2.raptors are not really that much faster than a good 7200rpm hdd, get a WD 640gb 16mb hdd instead.
3. im not gonna say anymore coz i just realised you already ordered. i rkeon u should get a xigamtek rifle 120mm cooler and o/c that e8400.
