You guys really don't know how happy to hear that a real $200-240 mid range card has been brought into the scene. For many months, especially since the X1950XT's have been disappearing off the market there has been NOT ONE ACCEPTABLE card to call itself mid-line.

The 8800GTS 320 was always a little on the pricey side to be called mid-line and the 8600GTS at around 150 were a joke...the only thing they even sold around 200 bucks were AGP cards and overclocked 8600GTS's which were a total rip-off.

The 8800GT truly brings the fun back into building systems. Just as the e21xx series brought fun back into CPU's through overclocking, the 8800GT is doing with video cards.

Hah I'm so excited :p

Yea i saw that...They are expected to hit to around $200 once the premium is over.

I will see if I can't sell my X1950XT 512 on ebay for 150 bucks to see if I can't pick up one of these.

Most likely...they are too cost inefficient to continue to keep producing anymore with the 8800GT chips being as low as $100 from Nvidia

Also Mav most people expect the 8800GT 512 to drop down to the $200 price range while it's 256mb version will be in the 100's

They are already at $230 on frys.com and they just released. I think they will be more around $210-215 but we will see.
