Default Final upgrade

I'm going to do the first (and last) upgrade for this comp soon, let me know what you think.

2x 512 OCZ ram
Thermaltake blue orb 2
7800gs

I hope that will hold me over for a while when I can switch to PCI-E, SATA, and hopefully DDR2.

Well I would too but I have AGP . I have heard from many people that the 7800gs will be the last agp card nVIDIA will make, and I don't know how true that is, but it sounds reasonable. Also, I have heard that it will be out in the next month or 2 and will be less than 250 bucks.

You're not going to be able to use that DDR2 ram with your AMD proc.

Where would the 7800GS stand? Under the GT but above the 6800GS or GT?

The 7800gs would stand right below the 7800 gt. And if we're lucky, it will be a good overclocker like the 6800gs

Oh and I changed my mind on the ram. I'm getting one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820221004 and a logitech MX518. I'm gonna order tomorrow morning.

is the 7800gs agp confirmed yet? There are so many misconceptions about the 6800gs its unbelieveable, I think nvidia just did it to confuse people. The 6800GS AGP is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT a great overclocked like its PCIE version. They use different processor types, completely different. The 6800gs AGP overclocks just as well as a 6800gt, not better.

Nvidia should have called the 6800gs AGP card something else, its a great card but not as good as the PCIE version, not even close.
