I have spent alot of time going over the parts for my new gaming computer. Im almost ready to buy. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I also have one question. I will need another motherboard besides the one I have chosen because I plan on upgrading to a quad-core in july. So I need some good suggestions on one that supports duo-core and quad-core/1333 fsb and will overclock very well. Thanks for taking the time to look it over.

Probably one of the most well informed builds I have seen in ages. I recommend absolutely nothing else...

Hah if you were to purchase that you would have one **** of a nice system :p

wow...finally, no recommendations to do. I can tell, you've done your research. Good job.

Considering I believe this is his 5th build he has had posted I would hope heh. Still I'm glad to see someone has retained the knowledge and yes excellent build no recommendations....order up!

Thanks, I did have alot of help from everyone here picking out parts.

Do you have suggestions for a motherboard? Need one that supports duo and quad at 1333 and overclocks good. I plan on upgrading to a quad once prices drop.

Would the P5B Deluxe support quad core, with a 1333 FSB, via BIOS update? Or are you planning on a second rig? If so, then I will suggest the MSI P6N Platinum.

Im not sure if a bios update would support it, I will read up on it. I will be upgrading the computer im buying now, not a second rig.

Edit: I went here...

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

asus says its quad-core ready with a bios update, but it doesnt list 1333.

Yes, could overclock it. Just wanted to double check it wouldn't limit a quad-core's power.

Well, with your final approvals and the motherboard question solved, im ready to begin buying. Thanks!

I would get the 620W just cause.. The 520 would be enough but still.. Quads use a lot of power and upgrade headroom is always good.. And you don't want to put too much load on it. It just like $20 more, worth it imo.

Also, I really wouldn't buy XP now if you're using a DX10 card.. DX10 games will start coming out in about a couple months and why waste $100 for two months of a slightly less buggy OS?

And I'm not really a fan of RAID0 since 1 of them dies and all your stuff is lost but it's ok if you don't mind risking it.

Other then that it's good :)
