Very weak graphically.

I'd drop the X1600 for a 7600GS or 7600GT (close to the same price, but much better performance).

eVGA 256-P2-N541-TX Geforce 7600GS 256MB

$109.99
($99.99 after $10.00 Mail-In Rebate)

eVGA 256-P2-N554-AX Geforce 7600GT KO 256MB

$165.99

Yeah, the 7600 is much better.
If your doing serious stuff to your cpu then you probably want to get a better heatsink and fan, but other than that you're good.

i fail to see how the 7600gs is better than the x1600pro

the guy picks socket 939, gets single core, and you recommend the 7600gs??

CPU: I would recommend this...

Go with the 7600GT... it's a better performance card for gaming.

(This is an IN GENERAL look at the card... Not a specific brand)

Uh, yeah. I'm running a 3000+ with a 7800GTX w/no problems. So, what's your point...?
