Default Fan question, help please.

Hey guys, atm I'm building a computer. But I'm having a problem, when I ordered some parts, on the phone some guy from newegg.com told me the FAN I was getting was NOT compatible with something I was getting. Here's what I'm getting:

-ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131540

-NZXT LEXA-NP Black/ Silver Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811146018

-ASPIRE 6 pin PCI Express Cable Splitter Model CVTPCI12
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812201003

-Thermaltake CL-P0257 Blue orb II CPU Cooler for LGA775 & K8
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835106069

-Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136012

-CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145503

-FSP Group (Fortron Source) FX700-GLN ATX12V/ EPS12V 700W All-In-One Power Supply 115/230 V CSA,IEC,UL,CE,TUV
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104015

-AMD Athlon 64 FX60 Toledo 1GHz HT 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103608

At the moment thats it, I'm waiting for the Nvidia 7900 GTX to come out on March 9th. But could you help me out please? I don't know why the guy said the fan wasn't compatible. He said it was only compatible with PENTIUM, but I didn't tell him what processor i was buying, he just said there was an error with that fan. I don't get why, it says on its info its compatible with Athlon too. I was wondering, maybe its the Computer Case? Or is he wrong? should i change the fan or what? please help me, I don't know where the error is.

Was he talking about the Blue Orb? If so, it should be compatible...

That PCI express cable splitter is a bad idea. You are better off using the normal PCI express cord for one and use a 2x 4pin to pci express 6 pin for the second card.

Yes, it may come with the card. Make sure you use two different 4 pins from the PSU that are not split.

TT Blue Orb is compatible with:
Intel Pentium D (Socket LGA775)
Intel Pentium 4 (Socket LGA775)
Intel Celeron D (Socket LGA775)
AMD Athlon X2 (Socket 939)
AMD Athlon 64 FX (Socket 939/940)
AMD Athlon 64 (Socket 754/939)
AMD Sempron (Socket 754)
AMD Opteron (Socket 940)

As far as your ASUS A8N SLI Premium goes... I've seen zalman 7700's on them, so the BLUE ORB will certanly fit.

The newegg guy was a Newb...
