Is this a fair statement?

those things overclocking very far, im pretty sure u could. i dont remember cod4 as being v hardware demanding.

Trotter: "Ask all the questions you want... whatever we don't know, we'll make
up something that sounds pretty good."
that is so true

Lol, okay what about a 2.4ghz Pentium Dual at stock with a 9600GSO, i really have to know if it can play it well.

and

is a 430w Thermaltake PSU going to be enough to power a 9600GSO and Pentium Dual?

im using a radeon 9550 and a 2GHz single core athlon and I run CoD4 on medium with pretty much no lag... you should be fine.

I did the same with a 9600xt....

However you don't need to worry about your CPU being too weak, mainly your GPU

thats not true, when i had my single core athlon 4000+ and my 7950gt i could just run medium, oncei got my q6600 i was able to max it with the 7950gt, you need atleast duel core. call of duty 4 is a preaty cpu dependant game.

Wow... Didn't see that coming, because on my friends rig, he had an 3200+ and went to a Socket 939 Opty 165 and his COD4 performance didn't increase much (he reused his video card though)

idk...
