I belive it will be alot cheaper to buy a standard internal HDD and buying a USB 2.0 or IEEE 1394 3.5 inch enclosure...

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3400Mhz
Asus P5B-E
Samsung 400 GB Sata II
Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2 800 5-5-5-12
Zalman CNPS-9700 LED
Antec Nine Hundred
Hp W2207 22" Widescreen Monitor
Windows Vista Home Premium
Silverstone ST60F 600W PSU
Razer Copperhead Tempest Blue Gaming Mouse

or a 2.5" laptop hard drive and enclosure. I don't think you can get bus powered 3.5 internal hard drive and enclosure can you?

go on ebay and pick up a case for a standard size hard drive for 15 bucks and go to newegg and get a maxtor sata 3.0 500gig for 175. 500 gigs of externalness for 200ish sounds good to me
Intel Q9550 ( 3.84ghz OC on air)
Asus Rampage Formula
OCZ Platinum dual channel memory 8gig
Vista Ultimate 64bit
Radeon 4870 512mb

I've experienced that internal harddrives in harddrive cages can give major hardware issues, from pc's not recognizing the drive to the drive not even spinning...

And external harddrives really aren't that expensive anymore... Just a little more than internal drives. Western Digital My Book Essential 320GB: $119.99

I have an external 500gb Seagate that I got for around $200 - $250. If I could have gotten a different one, I would have gotten a Western Digital My Book. From what I heard, it turns on with your computer automatically.

Western Digital My Book's look really good, has anyone found any major problems with them?
