Default which Ext. hdd to get?

I'm getting a laptop tomorrow and I'm selling my desktop to my parents.

Problem:
My desktop has 240 gigs in it. All of it but 5 is used. The laptop is only 250 gigs.

Solution:
External Harddrive I've wanted one FOREVER but i haven't really had a real reason to get one. Now i do.

So...I'm looking to a 500 gig or a 750 gig if i can find one for ~120.

This is the one I have in mind:
Newegg.com - Western Digital Elements WDE1U5000N 500GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - External Hard Drives

Suggestions/comments?

You can purchase the HD enclosure and the Internal drive separate for a cheaper price.

For example, this enclosure: Newegg.com - SABRENT EC-ESTS Aluminum 3.5" eSATA External Enclosure - External Enclosures
And this Drive: Newegg.com - HITACHI Deskstar T7K500 HDT725050VLA360 (0A33437) 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

That is under 120

There are enclosures with external USB, Firewire, sata, and even ethernet, course you will have to pay more for all of them.

if your going to get an external hdd, and not buy an enclosure and hdd seperatly then get an acomdata, there cheaper, have nice cases, and are very reliable. I have one and couldn't be happier.
