Experience with Hauppage WinTV-PVR 500 MCE?

I am just wondering if anyone here has had any experience using a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 500 MCE.

I am looking to turn my old PC (AMD 2400+, ASUS A7V8X, 512MB RAM, ATI AIW 9800) into a makeshift HTPC. Hauppage appears to be the leader when it comes to TV cards, and they have hardware MPEG-2 encoders, which gives the CPU a break.

The system is running Fedora Core 5 right now, but will likely be using MythTV or something similar after I move.

So, again, anyone have experience, good or bad with this Hauppage card, or any of their other cards?

hmm, i had a lifeview fly-dvb, not Hauppage i know, but it sucked, so dont get that

Tom's Hardware just did an article on Building a PVR the hard way, and used ADS items... These were all external units though, which I DEF. will be staying away from.
