well it wil clearly beat a x1800 if the GT is superclocked, did they overclock the x1800 at all?

well the radeon's got a whopping 512 mb... thats impressive that the 7900 gt co beat it, makes me happy, although mine is just an overclocked xfx..

wow this is sweet, i'm getting the superclocked card in a few days. this radeon card they tested is similar to a 7800gt isn't it? (i'm not familiar with ati as much as nvidia)

It's not really that suprising seeing as the 7900GTX>7800GTX=X1800XT. Plus the 7900GTX's are 90nm where as the X1800XT's are 110nm I believe, so the 7900GTX's are cheaper to produce, use less power and emit less heat. The X1800XT's go for $300 or cheaper, where as the 7900GT's are usually outta stock or $310+. If you look at most of the benchies, they are tied or usually off by only a few FPS, but for the X1800XT being a generation older I'd say it's still a great contender outta the two cards.
