HORRAY, I finally got my PC up and running, and I want to say thanks to you all.

But now to the last questions I will have to ask, to get it complete:

I have an Opty 165, but in the Ctrl + Alt + Del, performance Tab, it only shows 1 core. How do I get it to optimize both cores? Thanks

I think there is a windows patch that allows you to use dual core CPUs.

I think your motherboard neeeds to support it. try and find a BIOS update for your board

BIOS update. I just got my DFI Lanparty Ulta-D and Opteron 165 in today. CPU-Z and Windows only showed one core. Updated the BIOS and voila, dual core.

I just googled, and found that the board does need a BIOS update.

I did a search for a bios update, but nothing really helped. Could anyone give me some advice on how to do it? I went to the link apokalipse gave me, downloaded the .BIN file to a floppy, but that's all I've figured out how to do. www.chaintechusa.com/tw has some directions, but they don't really make a lot of sense. If anyone has aim and wants to walk me through it too, I'm on almost all the time, my name's in my profile.
