Default Early Intel X48 rumours surface

NordicHardware have published an article revealing slight info regarding the successor of Intel's X38 chipset, the X48. While any info is plausible at this stage, the chip will definitely be faster than the X38 and will apparently arrive "a few weeks" after the X38's launch.

It will be even faster and offer even better overclocking than X38. Until then we have to settle for X38, which should start appearing this week if we're lucky. Several people are expecting samples from different motherboard manufacturers soon so we should see benchmarks in the community quite soon. Don't let the 4 in the name fool you, Intel changes name schedules quite frequently nowadays.

wow! X38 to be outdated just a fortnight after its release... X48 should be very exciting...

lol... though there are rumors that X48 will just be X38 featuring higher binned chips, and thus more performance.
