E8400 vs Q6600?

wow, I hope my mobo works atleast ok for the e8400, until I order a new one. I am gonna pick up an x38 soon. but my sli plus is not that great I imagine.

well i dont have a mobo yet to have problems with but i'm kind of getting a gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R with a E8400 for a new build i'm doing

i went out today and got 2 WD HDD's comes to 1TB of space and got all the DVD-RW's, DVD-ROM's and psu also so it going to be sweet

I'd say only get the q6600 if your doing CAD or Movie Editing or just doing Synthetic Benching, because other stuff doesn't really utilize a quad-core (yet)
