E6850 or Q6600 I order everything tommorow please help

There is no reason why you shouldn't go quad when you have the option for nearly the same price.

If you want a duo so badly, I wouldn't recommend the e6850. It's overpriced when you could get an e6750 and overclock it to 3.5+Ghz. If you don't like to overclock, the e6850 is nice as it comes as 3.0ghz.
 

apparently not, i told my friend to get it instead of the e6850, glad i told him, cuz ur paying 15$ more for 2 less cores each running at 3.0ghz while u can get 4 cores @ 2.4ghz (btw i'm not gonna combine core numbers and say that the e6850 is 6.0ghz or that the q6600 is at 9.6ghz... i'm not an idiot!!)

so the e6850 is bad at OC'ing?
