I would say the e6750 is closer to the e6600 than the e6700. So the difference in price is minimal, maybe $20-30.

How so?
E6600 is 2.4 ghz
E6700 is 2.66 ghz
E6750 is 2.66 ghz

I've read reviews and saw the benchmarks of the E6700 vs the E6750 and they are Identical. The E6750 will OC to 3.8 stock, i don't think the E6600 will do that will it?

I've read this review, its comparing the 6750 to the 6700, and while they are saying the 6750 with the new 1333 FSB doesn't make much difference, thats not the issue as its cheaper than the current 6700 and performs at the same level. Or am I missing something (really, im pretty new).

PS: Take a look at the benchmark pictures, the 6700 and the 6750 are almost identical, the 6600 is a little behind.

That is one lucky OC imho. Don't think that 3.8 stock OC will be the normal. If you are purchasing the cpu with the intention of hitting a 3.8 OC you will more than likely be sorely disappointed.

The reviews and benchmarks you have seen are from chips that Intel sent to various places. I would be willing to bet that those chips were the "cream of the crop" to gain more hype. I am not saying that it wont be possible to hit those types of OC but they will hardly be the norm. I am still holding to my opinion that the e6750 is closer to the e6600 than the e6700. The multiplier for the e6600 is 9. The e6750 is 8, and the e6700 is 10.

Well I guess it all heresay for now, again I don't claim to have any more knowledge than anyone (cause I don't). We'll just have to wait to see the reuslts from real users when they come out. (BTW your ruining my hopes and dreams :D )
 
Not trying to really as I was really looking forward to getting the e6750 myself. It was released roughly $50 more than I was expecting and when looking at the options for a budget build until the Penryn chips come out I am switching to the e6420 as its a proven overclocker around 3.2-3.6 which is a nice range for the lower price.
