E6800 should i get it aka core 2 duo extream

if i have the money should i get it the e6800 is it really worth the money if i can afford it i Will Not Overclock

and how fast is the e6800 compared to lets say my insperon 6000 laptop on a scale of 1 to 10 1 being not much faster 10 being insanly faster

no not really. the 6600 can OC to it with easy, and the 6800 extreme doesnt really OC that well from what I have read.

If you're insanely rich, why not. If you're just rich then get e6600. Like lance said, it can OC to 6800 speeds easily. And then use the other half of the money you were gonna spend on the X6800 on more essential parts.

Actually I would reccomend getting the Extreme or waiting for "Kentsfield" which gives you a little more time to save up

Core 2 Quad's are coming in November
and I think AMD's quad cores might be coming out then aswell
