Default DX10 Video Upgrade

i've got a 7800gtx and i feel like upgrading to a directx10 card for the near future. i've been searching for a card from 200-300 dollars. i came across these:

Newegg.com - EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail
Newegg.com - EVGA 256-P2-N765-AR GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Superclocked HDCP Video Card - Retail

and i found this by ATI.

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100201SR Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP VIVO Video Card - Retail

I"m leading toward the 8800gts but if i don't have enough money i'll get the 8600gts. i don't think there should be that much of a performance difference should there?

I would say 8800GTS 320MB

However, you can get this one which has higher clocks and cheaper after MIR

yea, don't get the 8600. it isn't much better than your current card, so will struggle with DX10 rendering

really nice find there.... most cards are more expensive and are at a lower clock
