IMO you should wait till DX15 comes out.

If you have a good reason to wait, then it is worth it. If you play FS:X then it may be worth it. Could be a couple months, though. So you may want to get a card to hold you over.

I've heard the DX10 GPUS are supposed to be a minimum of £200. If you can get the extra cash, it'll be worth the wait

Remember they usually only bring out uber models at launch (7 series only the 7800GTX was available for quite a while), after a short while they will probably bring out the 7600GT equivalents etc.

For FS:X, it will be worth it to wait for the next gen cards. A lot of techies are against waiting, but this time it might be worth it.

Those who know what I am talking about, think of buying a 7950GX2 now as if you were to buy a GeForce FX 5950 Ultra in April 2004, 2 months before the release of the 6800 Ultra. Don't you think people who waited back then made a good decision?

256 dollars is CHEAP compared to the 400-500 that the better G80s and R600s are almost guarenteed to be.
