Dx10

Will the 939 Sockets be able to play DX10 Games or should i wait for the AM2 Chips, because i'd rather have something that will be compatible with DX10; all games will be DX10 later.

ex. if i bought this - "AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Toledo 1GHz HT Socket 939 Dual Core Processor Model ADA4400CDBOX - Retail " - would it be able to run DX10, or does the CPU have nothing to do with what can and cant run DX10

And also, does the 4400+ perform better than the 4600+ since its 2x 1mb vs the 2x 512kb?

DX10 will depend on video card as far as I know, not the mobo or processor. Though I'm sure dual core will be much more utilized. As for your processor question I don't know.

DX10 games will be Multithreaded but it solely depends on video cards.
